CHED Republica Award
The CHED Thesis and Dissertation Grants provide financial assistance to faculty members who are completing their Master’s Thesis or Doctoral Dissertation work in any of these priority disciplines.
Thesis: Science and Mathematics; Engineering, Maritime Studies and Architecture; Humanities, Social Science and Communication; Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; Medical and Health-Related Disciplines; Information Technology

The CHED Visiting Research Fellowships are offered under two categories: Senior Visiting Research Fellowship and Junior Visiting Research Fellowship. Its objectives are:
- to serve as a mechanism for the sharing/transfer of research knowledge/expertise among institutions and between research experts and developing researchers;
- to promote and facilitate collaborative research;
- to provide support for the conduct of research in priority areas.

CHED Support for Paper Presentation in International Conferences grants financial assistance to enable local researchers to participate in international conferences/seminars/workshops/for a, thus providing them with the opportunity to disseminate their research findings, exchange ideas with peers while at the same time learn from and contribute to the world’s pool of expertise and knowledge in higher education.

The CHED Research Grant-in-Aid (GIA) is intended to enhance the support environment for research in higher education by stimulating research among the developing HEIs. This Grant is afforded to research proposals submitted by public and private HEIs along the USC ZRP priority areas.

The CHED Republica Award is offered annually to recognize and reward outstanding research outputs that contribute to the discovery, adaptation of new knowledge and innovative technology that lead to sustainable development or generation of concepts which propel significant advances in the CHED identified priority disciplines. Its objectives are:
- to provide impetus for enhancing research productivity in public and private HEIs
- to promote greater appreciation of the importance of research in higher education and in national development; and
- to recognize excellence in research
